Joomla 1.6 Usability Improvements

I admit it. I am biased toward Joomla. There are many worthy content management systems to pick from, but for me, Joomla has changed the face of my business. Joomla makes my job easier, because I can provide my clients with technology that in the past would have been cost-prohibitive. Of course, Joomla isn't right for everyone, and for those people, I have no problem recommending Drupal or WordPress.

Over the past couple of years, the trend in web development is migrating from a static platform (like Dreamweaver) and moving toward a dynamic platform (like Joomla). Although Joomla 1.5 is a far superior CMS than its predecessor, Joomla 1.0, I am really excited about Joomla 1.6, which is currently in development. Some of the shortcomings of Joomla 1.5—like an Access Control System (ACS)—will no longer be an issue.

For more information about Joomla 1.6, read Steve Burge's article: Joomla 1.6 Usability Improvements.
