I use Dreamweaver. Function-wise, FrontPage does what it's supposed to, but I think Dreamweaver is superior. As for using Java and other programming languages, I don't know for sure. I use some Java Applets for navigation on a couple of my sites, and I know they perform slower on AOL on my modem connection. For a fast website, the best thing to do is stay away from gizmos that will make your page download slower. In web design, “plain Jane” isn't all bad.
